Why do we still believe in Godmen?

We live in a different era today, an era of technology, an era of science and an era of development, but there is still one thing in which we can say we are in a medieval period and that one thing is our blind faith in our so called Godmen.
Just wearing a typical ‘Sadhu’ clothes cannot make anyone a saint. I don’t say that all saints are fake, but finding a real one in the web of fake ones is definitely a tough job. But when we are so educated and so modern then how do we get easily fooled by such saints and sadhus?
Is this a problem with our mindset or is it just a fear of God that anyone can make us fool in the name of God and we are happy to become one. The big names like Asaram Bapu, Sant Rampal, Nirmal Baba and the latest one is Radhe Maa and so many others who are not so big names, but they are also doing good or rather great business. They all are having a party time and obviously we are the reasons for their merry making. One common thing in all of them is they all have a very religious sounding names, all having some connection with God.
Sitting on golden or even diamonds ‘Sihasans’, living in huge palaces, travelling to various places in flights, making international tours and we call them saints. Sarcasm at its best! And this is not just a problem of Indians. Definitely not, even foreign tourists are responsible and they are the major targets of such religious people. After all its a great chance to make International clients.
Today all famous temples in India are making money in the name of God and all have different ways of making money and we are ready to give lakhs, crores and even billions to these temples and they call it ‘Dakshina’.
Why not, after all we come to this world empty handed, so why not give this money to God, because the more we give, the more we will get. We will never ever help a poor instead, because its his destiny to be poor and even then we blame God that God has decided this only and its difficult to understand his ‘Leela’
Funny people!
